How It Works
sdaaccommodation.com.au connects you with a registered NDIS SDA provider who may have a home that suits. You answer a few questions about the person and their plan, we pass your details to one suitable provider, and they contact you. It's free for you, and you're never locked in.
You Tell Us What's Needed
Who the home is for, what you're looking for, whether SDA is in the plan, the design category and building type, where they'd like to live, whether SIL is needed, and when. Then how to contact you.
We Find a Provider
We pass your details to one registered SDA provider who may have a suitable home or a vacancy coming up.
A Provider Contacts You
They call or email to talk about the home, the other residents, the rent and timing. Nothing is agreed until you've visited and you're happy.
What Happens to Your Details
We only pass your details to a registered SDA provider, or a registered SIL provider working in SDA homes, who may be able to help. It goes to one provider at a time. If they can't help, we pass it to another, up to 3 in total, so you're not left waiting.
We ask for your consent first, because details about disability and support needs are sensitive. You can change your mind at any time by emailing hello@sdaaccommodation.com.au. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
How the Service Is Free
Providers pay us when we introduce them to someone looking for a home. That's how we keep the service free for participants, families and support coordinators.
It doesn't change what you pay. Rent in SDA is capped by the NDIS, and SDA prices are set in the NDIA's pricing arrangements. We only work with providers who meet our standards.
What We Are, and What We're Not
We're an independent matching service. We don't own or manage homes, decide eligibility or give advice about your plan, and we're not part of the NDIA or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. The provider you're connected with is responsible for the home and the agreement.
Common Questions
How long does it take?
The questions take about two minutes. When a provider gets in touch depends on the provider, and we only pass your details to providers who may have a suitable home now or coming up.
Can I choose my own SDA home and provider?
Yes. You're never locked in. Under the NDIS you choose your SDA provider and your other providers. If the home isn't right, tell the provider or tell us and we'll look for another.
Will lots of providers call me?
No. Your details go to one provider at a time. We only pass them to another provider if the first one can't help.
Do you list or own SDA homes?
No. We don't own, manage or advertise homes. We pass what you need to registered SDA providers, who tell you about their homes.
Can I ask you to delete my details?
Yes. Email us and we'll stop passing your details on and delete them, unless we have to keep something by law. See our privacy policy for how this works.
